Loft Flooring and Loft Boarding
We use top grade British Standard 18mm P5 tongue and grooved loft flooring.
It is cut to size and screwed down taking any wiring or pipe-work into consideration.
Do not forget that the in a loft you are standing on a ceiling, not on a load bearing floor, therefore we recommend that the floor be strengthened and raised to binder height.
This facilitates an insulation top up and creates a much stronger flat floor, which in turn makes moving boxes etc. around easier and prevents cracks appearing in the ceiling below.
Access points and breather holes are cut for any downlights, wiring boxes and pipe junctions etc.
